Historic Water Package Passes The Legislature

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, Nov. 4, the Legislature approved a package of five bills designed to address critical water issues facing the state. The package of bills reflects almost ten months of negotiations between legislators and stakeholders. The package is financed through an $11.4 billion bond that will be placed on the November 2010 ballot. An initial summary of the package’s key provisions and details about the bond have been posted on the League’s Web site.
