California’s Leadership on NLC Board Continues

California continues to have strong representation on the National League of Cities (NLC) board of directors. NLC held elections on Saturday, Nov. 14, during the annual business meeting at NLC’s Congress of Cities in San Antonio, Texas.

The 2009-2010 NLC board includes four California members consisting of newly elected NLC President and Riverside Mayor Ron Loveridge, La Quinta Mayor Terry Henderson, Campbell Council Member Dan Furtado and Los Angeles Council Member Ed Reyes.

Henderson was elected to the NLC board for the first time and will serve a two-year term. Furtado was re-elected to the NLC board for a special one-year term and Reyes was elected last year for a two-year term which will expire in November 2010.
